Stanley’s Cross Country team hosted their annual meet on Tuesday, Sept. 6 with races in both the varsity 5,000 meter and junior varsity 3,000 meter runs. In the boys’ varsity race, Kenmare-Burke Central-Bowbells was first with a team score of 98, followed by Surrey with 102, DLB-Lewis & Clark with 111, Killdeer with 115 and Stanley with 117 rounding out the top five. Individually, Jeroki Dahlen of Killdeer was first with a time of 17:16.92. For the Blue Jays, Colter Meiers was 5th with 18:31.16; Cohen Bell, 11th with 19:31.24; Dayne Bruhn-Glaholt, 29th with 21:33.92; Logan Neset, 30th with 21:48.05; Dallas Batteiger, 42nd with 22:48.61 and Logan Ruud, 55th with 26:28.64. In the girls’ varsity race, the Blue Jays took home first as a team with a score of 52, followed by Shiloh Christian with 59, Killdeer with 67, Kenmare-Burke Central-Bowbells with 82 and DLB-L&C rounding out the top five with 111. Individually, Brynn Hanson of DLB-L&C was first with a time of 19:44.99. Stanley’s Harley DeTienne was 6th with 22:16.24; Lexi Neset, 7th with 22:16.70; Savaejah Aune, 11th with 23:18.77; Kaydence Vachal, 13th with 23:25.49; Italia Rodriguez, 15th with 24:23.05; and Hannah Warta, 26th with 28:28.17.
