Blue Jays Drop Game To Velva
The Blue Jays opened their conference play against Velva-Drake/Anamoose-Garrison on the road on Friday, Sept. 4. This was a game that belonged to the Aggies almost from the start.
The Aggies scored on a three yard run by Logan Vincent in the first quarter with the two point conversion good to take an 8-0 lead. They scored three more times in the second quarter. The first came on a 32 yard pass from Crew Klein to Isaiah Hackman with the two point conversion failing. Logan Vincent ran in for a nine yard touchdown with the two point conversion failing. They then blocked a kick and returned it for a touchdown with the two point conversion failing, leaving the score in favor of the Aggies 26-0 at the half.
Neither team scored in the third quarter. The Aggies scored on a 16 yard run by Logan Vincent with the two point conversion good in the fourth quarter. The Blue Jays put the final score on the board on a 8 yard pass from Colter Fladeland to Larson Fjeldahl with the point after kick failing. That left the score at 34 to 6 in favor of the Aggies at the end of the game.
The Blue Jays had 191 yard of total offense, including 96 passing yards and 95 rushing yards. The Aggies had 337 yards of offense, including 132 yards passing and 205 yards rushing.
