Blue Jays Post Win Over Royals
The Stanley Blue Jays varsity football team hosted the South Prairie Royals on Friday, Sept. 25 for homecoming, winning the game by a score of 50 to 8.
The first quarter started out slowly with South Prairie putting the only score on the board on a three yard rushing touchdown with the two point conversion good, leaving the score at 8-0 in favor of the Royals at the end of the first quarter.
The Blue Jays got rolling in the second quarter. Kayden Uran scored the team’s first touchdown on a five yard run with the two point conversion good. Jevon Johnson returned an 80 yard interception for a touchdown with the two point conversion failing. The final score of the half came on a 35 yard pass from Kane Reep to Larson Fjeldahl with the two point conversion good, leaving the score 22 to 8 at the half in favor of the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays put two more touchdowns on the board in the third quarter. The first came on a 25 yard run by Regan Gustafson with the point after kick good. Kane Reep scored on a 20 yard run with the point after kick no good to leave the score at 35 to 8.
In the fourth quarter, Landon Hunting scored on a 46 yard run with the two point conversion good. Larson Fjeldahl caught his second touchdown pass, this time for 31 yards from Colter Fladeland with the point after kick good to leave the score at 50 to 8 in favor of the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays had 419 total yards, including 165 yards passing and 254 yards rushing. The Blue Jays had no turnovers in this game. The Royals had 185 total yards of offense, including 25 yards passing and 160 yards rushing. They turned the ball over twice on interceptions.

Passing: Kane Reep completed 10 of 21 passing attempts for 129 yards with one touchdown. Colter Fladeland completed 2 of 2 attempts for 36 yards and one touchdown.
