Girls Golfers Headed To State
Stanley’s varsity girls’ golfers had two meets on their schedule last week.
On Tuesday, Sept. 15, they were in Kenmare. DLB took home first place as a team with a score of 359, followed by Kenmare/Bowbells with 368 and Stanley with 464.
Individually, Laila Christianson of DLB was first with a score of 76, followed by Lauryn Christianson of DLB with 81, Emma Sandberg of Kenmare/Bowbells with 89, Brooke Livingston of Kenmare/Bowbells with 90, Cami Knutson of Kenmare/Bowbells with 93, Piper Ziemann of Garrison with 94, Natasha Brekhus of Kenmare/Bowbells with 96, Marli Lalim of Williams County with 97, Sharon Osteroos of DLB with 98, and Charlotte Brekhus of Kenmare/Bowbells with 103.

On Thursday, Sept. 17, golfers were in Ray for the regional meet. The top three teams would earn the right to advance to the State Golf Tournament. DLB was first with a score of 357, followed by Kenmare with 393 and Stanley with 442 rounding out that top three. Garrison was fourth with 444 and Divide County was fifth with 445.
Earning All-Region honors were Laila Christianson of DLB with a score of 76, Lauryn Christianson of DLB with 83, Brooke Livingston of Kenmare/Bowbells with 94, Danika LeBeau of New Town with 96, Brooklyn Weyrauch of Stanley with 97, Vivian Nygaard of Divide County with 98, Emma Sandberg of Kenmare/Bowbells with 98, Piper Ziemann of Garrison with 99, Marli Lalim of Williams County with 99, Sharon Osteroos of DLB with 99, and Emerson Myers of DLB with 99.
