Cross Country Runners At DLB Invite
The DLB Lakers Invite was held at the Wildwood Country Club on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
On the varsity boys’ side, DLB/L&C was first as a team with a score of 48, followed by Bottineau with 49, Kenmare-Bowbells with 55, Stanley with 73 and Tioga rounding out the top five with 141.
Individually, Philip Ankenbauer of Kenmare-Bowbells was first with a time of 17:15.42. Stanley’s Payton Harper was fifth with 18:39.14; Hugh Jackson, 11th with 19:29.36; Trent Bohrer, 17th with 20:11.52; Chance Drosdal, 28th with 21:06.07; and Jaxton Cossette, 38th with 21:27.02. Lewis and Clark NSP’s Oscar Braaflat was 45th with 22:10.14 and Camden Lee, 51st with 23:04.02.
In the boys’ junior varsity race, Turtle Mountain was first with a score of 24 followed by Kenmare-Bowbells with 33.
Individually, Connor Petersen of Kenmare-Bowbells was first with a time of 11:20.67. Stanley’s Marshall Fjeldahl was 3rd with 12:09.70; Griffin Wilson, 17th with 14:32.99; Tyson Durfee, 24th with 16:02.99; and Pierce Tronset, 27th with 17:21.92.
In the girls’ varsity race, Bottineau was first with a score of 23, followed by Harvey/Wells County with 67, Stanley with 78, Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood with 92, and DLB/Lewis & Clark rounding out the top five with 124.
Individually, Makayla Campbell of Bottineau was first with a time of 20:39.45. Stanley’s Charley Reum was 9th with 22:07.39; Henzlie Longmuir, 16th with 22:59.55; Mya Anderson, 25th with 24:35.92; Teigan Moe, 26th with 24:36.74; Hadley Reum, 27th with 24:48.74; Rio DeTienne, 30th with 25:09.45; River DeTienne, 37th with 25:58.58; Holly Schow, 40th with 26:22.99; and Cassidee Harper, 49th with 31:19.95.
