Stanley Hosts Cross Country Meet
Stanley hosted their annual cross country meet at the Prairie Rose Golf Course on Friday, Aug. 28 with nearly 300 athletes from 21 schools competing.
In the boys’ varsity race, New Town was first with a team score of 60, followed by Beulah with 77, Bottineau with 91, Stanley with 105, and Kenmare-Bowbells rounding out the top five with 108.
Individually, New Town’s Kade Lambert was first with a time of 17:02.36; Tekoah Hood, 6th with 18:00.49; Creedance Fox, 20th with 20:04.11; Brycen Bell, 24th with 20:14.99; Dane Young Bird, 25th with 20:18.17; Sean Lyson, 31st with 20:34.52; Tracy Lyson, 51st with 21:29.17; Canden Cummings, 57th with 21:53.02; and Rising Eagle Heart, 73rd with 23:02.55. Stanley’s Payton Harper was 13th with 19:12.45; Logan Longmuir, 17th with 19:40.42; Kolton Longmuir, 32nd with 20:35.45; Larson Fjeldahl, 34th with 20:37.61; Trent Bohrer, 42nd with 21:02.80; Payden Hunting, 82nd with 23:41.99; and Payton Sheffield, 86th with 23:53.17. Parshall’s Kingston Foote was 72nd with 22:55.30; Coming Cloud Perkins, 76th with 23:11.77; and Kaidis LongTimeSleeping, 77th with 23:12.05. Lewis and Clark NSP’s Delmer Crowsbreast was 80th with 23:34.49; and Oscar Braaflat, 83rd with 23:48.24.
In the girls’ varsity race, Bottineau was first as a team with a score of 29, followed by New Town with 60, MLS with 88, Beulah with 90 and Stanley rounding out the top five with 97.
Individually, Sage Feininger of Bishop Ryan was first with a time of 20:31.58. Parshall’s Haydyn Chase was second with 20:56.30. Stanley’s Annie Roise was fifth with 21:30.86; Jessy Roise, 12th with 22:07.77; Hadley Reum, 32nd with 24:45.92; Teigan Moe, 38th with 25:46.05; and River DeTienne, 50th with 29:13.77. New Town’s Tori Hale was 9th with 21:42.95; Shayla Hogan, 16th with 22:19.36; Hadley Drosdal, 17th with 22:38.11; Parker LeBeau, 18th with 22:54.83; Eva Knight, 19th with 23:19.58; Cedar Fitzsimmons, 27th with 23:54.14; Adriene Johnson, 33rd with 24:58.67; Inaani Wilson, 35th with 25:23.83; Starla McIntosh, 41st with 26:04.05; Ilse Rojas, 52nd with 30:42.67; and Shaya Heart, 55th with 32:50.64. Lewis and Clark NSP’s Shelbie Myers was 45th with a time of 27:32.77.
In the boys’ junior varsity race, New Town was first as a team with a score of 31, followed by Stanley with 64, Beulah with 74, Kenmare-Bowbells with 76, and Bottineau rounding out the top five with 105.
Individually, Jameson Irwin of New Town was first with a time of 11:38.52; Greyson Lugar, 3rd with 11:43.42; Clarky Knight, 6th with 12:08.64; Kyson Looking Horse, 11th with 12:25.99; Tanner Abby, 18th with 13:06.42; Miles Orris, 25th with 13:21.67; Andres Villafuerte, 26th with 13:22.11; and Elvis Hogan, 38th with 14:37.30. Stanley’s Isaak Longmuir was second with a time of 11:39.99; Jaxton Cossette, 8th with 12:16.70; Chance Drosdal, 9th with 12:18.12; Griffin Wilson, 35th with 14:19.64; Cash Murphy, 39th with 15:10.27; and Tyson Durfee, 51st with 17:18.92. Lewis and Clark NSP’s Camden Lee was 28th with 13:26.52. Parshall’s Adrias Walking Elk was 48th with 16:16.80; and Calling Star Perkins, 49th with 16:39.83.
In the girls’ junior varsity race, Southern McLean was first with a team score of 45, followed by Stanley with 47, DLB/L&C with 62, Beulah with 83 and MLS rounding out the top five with 94.
Individually, Charley Reum of Stanley was first with a time of 13:06.17; Henzlie Longmuir, 4th with 13:26.27; Mya Anderson, 5th with 13:26.49; Rio DeTienne, 22nd with 15:11.61; Holly Schow, 30th with 16:01.30; and Cassidee Harper, 42nd with 17:21.80. Parshall’s Nevaeh Packineau was 6th with 13:32.30; and Ryleigh Miranda, 23rd with 15:14.70. New Town’s Marley Danks was 27th with 15:38.74; and Kalgaree Spotted Horse, 29th with 16:00.99.
In the boys’ sixth grade race, James Kuster of Stanley was first with a time of 6:09.64; Hogan Schepp, 3rd with 6:37.92; Tate Durfee, 5th with 6:46.33; and Cohen Nelson, 8th with 8:52.05. New Town’s Austin Kaquatash was second with 6:27.39; Reece Poitra, 4th with 6:40.39; and Brady Wollschlager, 7th with 7:33.61.
In the girls’ sixth grade race, Gracelyn Lussenden of Southern McLean was first with a time of 7:00.99. Stanley’s Eva Anderson was second with 7:07.36; Piper Taylor, 3rd with 7:28.33; Elliott Essler, 4th with 7:31.11; and Berkley Schepp, 6th with 8:03.74. New Town’s Okimaskwew Baker was 7th with 8:14.11; Vallon Hall, 8th with 8:31.92; and Cora Rohde, 9th with 8:31.92.
