Stanley FFA Brings Back Donkey Basketball

Stanley FFA Brings Back Donkey Basketball

Stanley’s FFA will be hosting Donkey Basketball again this year on Friday, Jan. 16. Come one, come all for a night of laughs, competition and great memories to be made.
The games will be taking place in the Stanley High School gym starting at 7:00 p.m. with the Stanley FFA officers against the Stanley School staff. That will be followed by competition  between the Community Team #1 and the Community Team #2. A championship game will cap off the competition. Donkey rides will be available for kids during intermission.
Before the games, there will be a free will soup feed for the community to enjoy from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. You can purchase tickets at https://tinyurl.com/StanleyFFADonkeyBBall, by asking a Stanley FFA member, or stopping at either the high school or elementary school offices.
This is a return of the popular Dairyland Donkey Basketball which was in Stanley last in 2024. Spectators are treated all night as they watch rider after rider fall off, slide off or give up and pull the leads to get them where they want them to go. Riders do their level best to get on and stay on those donkeys. The FFA team will be looking to defend their title this year having won in 2024.
