Easter Eggstravaganza Held

The second annual Easter Eggstravaganza was held on Saturday, Apr. 4 at the Peace Prairie Ponderosa, just south of town. The event had something for everyone with hundreds of children and parents showing up to take part.
Area law enforcement agencies banded together with Stanley’s fire and ambulance departments to have vehicles on display. Representatives from those agencies could be found wandering around the grounds visiting with families as they enjoyed the day.
There were inflatables, a balloon artist, and prizes given away throughout the day. The Easter Bunny was on hand visiting with all of the kids as well.
The egg hunt started just after 1:00 p.m. with kids broken down into three age groups and in three hunting spaces. It did not take long for the many eggs to be claimed. Kids could then trade their eggs in for prizes with area business donating a significant number of prizes.
Events wrapped up with raffle drawings and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
The day was a joint effort sponsored by Peaceful Prairie Ponderosa, Stanley Police Department, Stanley Fire Department, The Pursuit Church, Stanley Family Dollar, Gustafson’s Septic Service, Circle Sanitation, Mountrail County Fair Association, Whips Garage, G&S Custom Detailing, CS Welding, Daryl and Yuki Johnson, Wisco Trucking, West End Boutique, Copper River Floral, MC Properties and Maintenance, Adam and Christine Copeland, Chris and Tracey Hughes, Alejandra Lopez, Feral Mama and Outlaw Kidd, Parsons Trucking LLC, Joyce’s Cafe, Tyler Lambert and Brittney Cox, Pepsi Co, Cashwise in Stanley, Cloverdale, Blue Jay Cheerleaders, Dittbrenners Woodworking, A+ Fireworks, Piepkorn Family, Stanley Women of Today, The Leader, Marathon Petroleum Corp., Rudolph Electric, Prairie Ford, Wal-Mart of Minot, and Fritel Construction.
