CCA Welcomes Emily Raan To Its Growing Faculty
Christian Crossroads Academy (CCA) is pleased to announce the addition of Emily Raan to its faculty, further strengthening the Academy’s commitment to academic excellence, classical Christian education, and the spiritual development of its students.
Raan is a licensed secondary mathematics teacher who is currently pursuing full elementary education licensure. At Christian Crossroads Academy, she will teach two sections of mathematics, along with grammar and humanities, bringing a diverse background in traditional classroom instruction, classical homeschooling and Christian ministry.
A resident of Tioga, North Dakota, Raan is the wife of a local Zion Lutheran Church Associate Pastor and the mother of four children. Before relocating to North Dakota, she and her family served as missionaries in India and Uganda, where their ministry focused on strengthening, equipping, and discipling local Christian leaders.
Her intentional ministry experience, combined with her educational background, provides a valuable perspective on the relationship between academic instruction, character development, and Christian service.
In addition to teaching in traditional school settings, Raan has homeschooled her own children using a classical model of education. This experience closely aligns with Christian Crossroads Academy’s educational philosophy, which emphasizes the development of knowledge, sound reasoning, effective communication, and a biblical worldview.
Raan also teaches high school Sunday School at her local church, where she engages teenagers in meaningful discussions about Scripture, God, personal identity, and the Christian faith. Through apologetics and Bible study, she encourages young people to examine important questions, think critically, and develop a deeper understanding of their beliefs.
Her approach to education reflects CCA’s mission to develop students intellectually, spiritually, and personally, preparing them to become thoughtful, principled Christian leaders.
Raan is passionate about helping students and families grow in their faith and understand what it means to live out their Christian calling. She looks forward to integrating her experiences in education, classical learning, and ministry into her work at Christian Crossroads Academy.
Her addition also reinforces the Academy’s foundational 5G culture; Grit, Gratitude, Generosity, Growth, and Grace, virtues that guide its approach to education, student development, and Christian character.
