Wrestlers In Action In Kenmare And Tournaments

Stanley’s wrestlers were in action on Tuesday, Jan. 21 in Kenmare. The boys were at the Badland Classic in Killdeer on Saturday, Jan. 25 while the girls were in Rugby for the Panther Booster’s Girls Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Stanley vs. Kenmare
The Blue Jays were in dual action with Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke Central on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The Blue Jays took home the 36 to 35 win.
Individual results were as follows:
At 107 pounds, Chase Brown lost to Cam Peterson in sudden victory overtime with a score of 10 to 7.
At 114 pounds, Louden Haugen won by fall at 1:01 over Briggs Mogren.
At 121 pounds, Regan Gustafson lost on an 18-2 tech fall to Cole Mogren.
At 127 pounds, Cohen Bell won by fall at 2:31 over Austin Davis.
At 133 pounds, Brayden Fritel won by fall at 2:36 over Lleyton Spear.
At 139 pounds, Dane Dunham lost by fall at 4:25 to Gage Holter.
At 145 pounds, Kane Reep won by forfeit with KBBC open.
At 152 pounds, Gage Mudderman lost by fall at 3:36 to William Cook.
At 160 pounds, Colter Fladeland lost by fall at 4:53 to Landan Spear.
At 172 pounds, Ace Johnson lost by fall at 1:25 to Lincoln Spear.
At 189 pounds, Jake Germundson won by forfeit with KBBC open.
At 215 pounds, Trey Bohmbach won by fall at 1:02 over Tucker Timm.
At 285 pounds, Levi Uran lost in sudden victory overtime to Delaney Feldman with a score of 10-7.
Girls were also wrestling with results as follows:
At 100 pounds, River DeTienne won by fall over Addi Peterson.
At 112 pounds, Kimber Fritel lost by fall to Taley Michel.
At 124 pounds, Aubree Bunner lost by fall to Tenley Michel.
At 142 pounds, McKenna Jones lost by fall to Amaya Baptiste.
At 142 pounds, Amanda Aguilar lost by fall to Amaya Baptiste.
At 170 pounds, Inaani Wilson lost by fall to Tagen Thornton.
Badlands Classic
The Blue Jays boys were at the Badlands Classic in Killdeer on Saturday, Jan. 25. Minot took home the team title with 180 points, followed by South Border with 173, Velva with 164, Dickinson with 151 and Watford City with 124.5. The Blue Jays finished in ninth with 95.5 team points.
Individual results were as follows:
At 107 pounds, Chase Brown lost his first round match on a 6-5 decision to Easton Haaland of Beulah-Hazen. After a bye in the next round, he lost his next match by fall at 5:10 to Brandt Haas of New Salem-Almont to end his tournament action.
At 114 pounds, Louden Haugen placed second. After a first round bye, he won his quarterfinal match on an 18-1 tech fall over Eliah Rogers. He won his semifinal match by fall at 1:22 over Jared Schilling of South Border. In the championship match, he lost on an 18-2 tech fall to Jake Glaser of Dickinson to take second place.
At 127 pounds, Cohen Bell took home the championship. He won his first round match on a 15-0 tech fall over Talon Gerbig of Bowman County/Beach. He followed that up with a 15-0 tech fall win over Shay Smith of Harding County in quarterfinals. He won his semifinal match on a 10-0 major decision over Rylan Vetter of South Border. In the first place match, he won on a 5-4 decision over Charlie Irwin of New Salem-Almont to take the title.
At 133 pounds, Brayden Fritel place eighth. He won his first round match on a 14-8 decision over Kanon Sperry of Bowman County/Beach. In quarterfinals, he lost by fall at 3:28 to Jack Bohmbach of Killdeer. He came back to win his next match on a medical forfeit by Shawn Barrette of DLB. In the next round, he lost on 15-0 tech fall to Broderyk Mohl of Beulah-Hazen. In the seven place match, he lost on a 16-1 tech fall to Kordell Bruha of Harding County to take eighth place.
At 139 pounds, Dane Dunham won his first match by fall at 2:00 over Jacob Jaggi of Killdeer. In quarterfinals, he lost by fall at 5:34 to Rowdy Mott of Watford City and then lost his next match on an injury default to Elijah Ramos of Killdeer to end his tournament action.
At 145 pounds, Kane Reep placed seventh. He lost his first round match by fall at 2:31 to Zane Wagoner of Watford City. After a bye in the next round, he won by fall at 5:09 over Griffon Signalness of Watford City. He lost his next match by fall at 3:36 to Jonathan Klitze of Dickinson. In the seventh place match, he won on a 14-6 major decision over Riley Schlafman of Jamestown to take seventh place.
At 152 pounds, Colter Fladeland lost his first match on a 17-2 tech fall to Breyden Buee of DLB. He came back to win his next match by fall at 4:21 over Austin Mittelsteadt of Beulah-Hazen. In the next round, he lost by fall at 1:38 to Lexton Smith of Velva to end his tournament action.
At 172 pounds, Ace Johnson lost his first round match by fall at :58 to Madden Barstad of Velva. After a bye in the next round, he lost his next match by fall at 3:20 to Boston Fike of Harvey-Wells County to end his tournament action.
At 189 pounds, Trey Bohmbach placed third. He won his first round match by fall at 3:41 over Jace Getz of Bowman County/Beach. He lost in quarterfinals on a 10-0 major decision to Cole Nitschke of South Border. He came back in the next round to win by fall at :55 over Aidan Bertsch of South Border and followed that up with a 13-0 major decision win over Noah Werner of Velva. In consolation semifinals, he won on a 9-2 decision over William Roundy of Killdeer. In the third place match, he won by fall at 5:18 over Kenny Smith of DLB to take third.
At 285 pounds, Levi Uran placed sixth. After a bye in the first round, he lost his quarterfinal on a disqualification to Dane Jepson of Killdeer. After a bye in the next round, he won his next match by fall at 2:11 over Legion Dionne of New Salem-Almont. He lost his consolation semifinal by fall at 5:55 to Kale Risbrudt of Minot. In the fifth place match, he lost by fall at 3:55 to Dane Jepson of Killdeer to take sixth place.
2025 Panther Booster
Girls Tournament
The girls were in action in Rugby at the Panther Booster Girls Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 25. Minot took home first place as a team with 238 points, followed by Dickinson with 196, Turtle Mountain with 138.5, Devils Lake with 103.5 and Kenmare/Bowbells/Burke Central rounding out the top five with 92.5 points. The Blue Jays tied for 15th with 39 team points.
Individual results for the Blue Jays were as follows:
At 100 pounds, River DeTienne lost her first round match by fall at 1:52 to Maci Brouillette of Williston. After a bye in the next round, she won her next match by fall at 1:46 over Raylin Creighton of Minot. In the next round, she lost on a 20-4 tech fall to Emma Shively of Rugby to end her tournament action.
At 106 pounds, Kimber Fritel placed sixth. She won her first round match by fall at :38 over Aunna Weigel of Mandan, but lost her quarterfinal match by fall at 2:21 to Charlotte Crowston of Pembina County North. She came back to win her next match by fall at :20 over Justyce LaVallie of Turtle Mountain and the next round by fall at 1:06 over Siri Bryce Volk of Devils Lake. In consolation semifinals, she lost by fall at 3:22 to Addison Yates of Harvey-Wells County. In the fifth place match, she lost by fall a 1:25 to Avarie Jacobson of Rugby to place sixth.
At 106 pounds, Molly Danks lost her first match by fall at :43 to Addison Yates of Harvey-Wells County and her next match by fall at 1:29 to Justyce LaVallie of Turtle Mountain to end her tournament action.
At 106 pounds, Ava Wade lost her first match by fall at 1:02 to Monica Boakye of Minot and her next match by fall at 1:06 to Laila Medina of Turtle Mountain to end her tournament action.
At 118 pounds, Aubree Bunner placed seventh. She had a bye in the first round and then lost her quarterfinal match by fall at :43 to Aryana Loran of Dickinson. She came back to win her next match by fall at 2:00 over Madyson Bergeron of Devils Lake, but then lost her next match by fall at 3:34 to Brianna Edwardson of Devils Lake. In the seventh place match, she won by fall at 1:30 over Adisyn Vande Hoven of Carrington to take seventh place.
At 136 pounds, McKenna Jones placed seventh. She won her first round match by fall at 5:18 over Janessa Nelson of Williston and then lost her quarterfinal match by fall at 1:09 to Amaya Baptiste of KBBC. She won her next match by fall at 4:17 over Amanda Aguilar of Stanley, but lost her next match by fall at 3:15 to Emily Wilkie of Turtle Mountain. In the seventh place match, she won by fall at 4:00 over Sava Nelson of Minot to take seventh place.
At 136 pounds, Amanda Aguilar lost her first round match by fall at :25 to Payton Russell of Minot. She won her next match by fall at 1:38 over Mya Deford of Williston. She lost her match by fall at 4:17 to McKenna Jones of Stanley to end her tournament action.
At 148 pounds, Inaani Wilson placed eighth. After a first round bye, she lost her quarterfinal match on an 18-1 tech fall to Clancy Meyer of Dickinson. She had a bye in the next round and then lost her match with Bayleigh Chase of Turtle Mountain by fall at :24. In the seventh place match, she lost by fall at :45 to Makinley Lazorenko of Killdeer to end her tournament action.
Up Next: The boys head to New Salem for the East/West Tournament on Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1. The girls will be in action on Saturday, Feb. 1 as they host the 4 Bears Girls Invitational at the 4 Bears Event Center in New Town with wrestling starting at 11 a.m.
