White Earth Rodeo Had Something For Everyone

The 65th Annual Rodeo was held last weekend at the White Earth Valley Saddle Club with events kicking off on Friday morning with the 15th Annual Queen Pageant. Jule Stenson of Crosby was crowned this year’s Princess. Little Miss honors went to Hannah Stute of Bottineau.

This year’s Sweetheart was Caleigh Rudland of Portal. In the Princess and Little Miss categories, contestants are judged in various events. Jule Stenson won all categories in the Princess competition: Photogenic, Modeling & Impromptu, Interview, Test, Horsemanship and Speech. First runner up was Shyla Jorgenson of Powers Lake.

In the Little Miss competition, Photogenic went to Marli Honrud. Tylada Nichols won the Modeling & Impromptu. Josey Keller won the Interview. The Horsemanship was won by Hannah Stute. Marli Honrud was the first runner up.

There was a tie for Miss Congeniality between Tylada Nichols and Hannah Stute. Friday evening was the annual Fun Run Showdeo with fun for all ages. After introducing the new WEVSC court, the national anthem was performed by a sweet little three-year-old boy, Waylon Donnell. He also sang at the rodeos over the weekend.
