Volleyball Team Splits Matches, In Action At NWC
Stanley’s varsity volleyball had two regular matches on their schedule last week, winning their home match against Nedrose on Tuesday, Oct. 8 and losing their match on the road against Kenmare on Thursday, Oct. 10. They were also in action at the Northwest Conference in Berthold on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Stanley vs. Nedrose
The Blue Jays were at home on Tuesday, Oct. 8 when they hosted Nedrose for their Pink Out event. They won the first set with a score of 25 to 22 and the second with a score of 25 to 19. Nedrose claimed the third set with a score of 24 to 26, but the Blue Jays came back to take the fourth set with a score of 26 to 24.
Individual stats for the Blue Jays were as follows:
Tylie Johnson had 27 assists.
Danica Hermanson had 10 kills, followed by Taya Niemitalo with 8, Jordee Skaar with 6, Brenna Wenger with 3, and Halle Larson and Trenedi Barstad with 1 each.
McKenzie Bohrer, Taya Niemitalo and Danica Hermanson each had 2 aces, followed by Karley Jemtrud and Tylie Johnson with 1 each.
Danica Hermanson had 20 digs, followed by Halle Larson with 13, Tylie Johnson with 11, Karley Jemtrud with 10, McKenzie Bohrer with 5, and Trenedi Barstad, Brenna Wenger and Taya Niemitalo with 1 each.
Taya Niemitalo had 2 blocks and Jordee Skaar had 1.

Stanley vs. Kenmare
On the road on Thursday, Oct. 10, the Blue Jays faced the Kenmare Honkers. The Honkers claimed the match in straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-14 and 25-11.
