Volleyball Team Posts Wins Over Nedrose, Bottineau
Stanley varsity volleyball had two matches on their schedule last week. On Tuesday, Sept. 16 they hosted Nedrose, posting the straight set win. On Thursday, they traveled to Bottineau, winning again in straight sets.
Stanley vs. Nedrose
At home on Tuesday, Sept. 16, the Blue Jays hosted the Nedrose Cardinals. Stanley took the first set with a score of 25-11 and followed that up with win of 25-14 and 25-16 to take the straight set victory.
Individual stats for the Blue Jays were as follows:
Maycee Copeland led the team with 14 assists, followed by Tylie Johnson with 10, McKenna Jones with 2 and Dani Hermanson with 1.
Annie Roise had 9 kills, followed by Dani Hermanson and Brenna Wenger with 7 each, Maycee Copeland with 3, Taya Niemitalo with 2, and Karley Jemtrud, Khloe Jemtrud and Tylie Johnson with 1 each.
Dani Hermanson had 5 aces, followed by Khloe Jemtrud with 3, Maycee Copeland with 2, and Brenna Wenger and Annie Roise with 1 each.
Tylie Johnson had 10 digs, followed by Dani Hermanson with 6, McKenna Jones with 5, Khloe Jemtrud, Maycee Copeland and Annie Roise with 4 each, Brenna Wenger with 2, and Taya Niemitalo and McKenzie Bohrer with 1 each.
Brenna Wenger had the team’s 2 blocks.

Stanley vs. Bottineau
On the road in Bottineau on Thursday, Sept. 18, the Blue Jays continued their win streak as they posted the straight set victory win with scores of 25-16, 25-13 and 25-18.
Tylie Johnson led the team with 19 assists, followed by Maycee Copeland with 11.
Dani Hermanson had 9 kills, followed by Brenna Wenger with 8, Maycee Copeland and Annie Roise with 5 each, Taya Niemitalo and Karley Jemtrud with 4 each, and Tylie Johnson with 1.
Annie Roise had 3 aces, followed by Khloe Jemtrud and Maycee Copeland with 1 each.
Maycee Copeland had 15 digs, followed by Khloe Jemtrud with 11, Dani Hermanson with 8, Annie Roise and McKenna Jones with 7 each, Hannah Warta and Brenna Wenger with 5 each, Karley Jemtrud with 2, and Taya Niemitalo and Tylie Johnson with 1 each.
Brenna Wenger had 1 block, followed by Dani Hermanson and Maycee Copeland with .5 each.
