Track Teams In Action Twice Last Week

The Blue Jay track teams had two meets on their schedule last week. On Thursday, May 9, they were at the NW Conference Outdoor meet in Parshall. The meet was rescheduled for Thursday due to rain on the original date. On Saturday, May 11, they were in Minot for the Glenburn Invitational.
NW Conference
Parshall was the host location for the NW Conference Outdoor meet on Thursday, May 9 with events for both varsity and junior varsity teams.
On the girls’ varsity side, Bishop Ryan took the team title with 111.5 points, followed by DLB/L&C with 104.5, Nedrose with 91, Stanley with 79.5 and Max-South Prairie rounding out the top five with 60. Parshall was eleventh with 26 team points and New Town was fifteenth with 4.
In the girls’ junior varsity, Stanley was first with 88 team points, followed by Parshall with 62, Nedrose with 49, Powers Lake with 47 and Bishop Ryan rounding out the top five with 45. New Town was seventh with 37 team points.
On the boys’ varsity side, Stanley was first with 118 team points, followed by DLB/L&C with 89, Nedrose with 79, New Town with 78 and Kenmare-Bowbells with 51 rounding out the top five. Parshall was 14th with 6.
In the boys’ junior varsity, Stanley was first with 96 team points, followed by Powers Lake with 70, Williams County with 51, Trenton with 50.5 and DLB rounding out the top five with 48. Parshall was sixth with 46.5 team points.

100 meters: Keaton Cole of Nedrose was first with a time of 11.29. Jevon Johnson of Stanley was 19th with 12.20; Cohen Bell, 22nd with 12.30; Lane Vachal, 39th with 12.80; Hunter Warta, 47th with 13.12;  Bryan Redwan, 60th with 13.49; and Alex Salgado, 65th with 13.67.
200  meters: Avery Klein of Garrison was first with a time of 23.24. Drake Schlosser of Stanley was fifth with a time of 24.18; Oscar Garcia, 6th with 24.56; Jevon Johnson, 12th with 25.11; Lane Vachal, 13th with 25.12; Kolton Longmuir, 14th with 25.15; Cohen Bell, 16th with 25.52; Landon Hunting, 30th with 26.60; Logan Neset, 33rd with 27.06; Bryan Redwan, 42nd with 28.11; and Alex Salgado, 44th with 28.45.
400 meters: Zander Grover of DLB/L&C was first with a time of 53.85. Logan Longmuir of Stanley was third with 57.33; Lane Vachal, 10th with 1:00.81; and Landon Hunting, 13th with 1:02.17.
800 meters: Xavier Bell of New Town was first with a time of 1:59.18. Logan Neset of Stanley was 7th with 2:17.75; Braxton Istilart, 9th with 2:21.85; Cohen Bell, 13th with 2:25.65; Brayden Weyrauch, 21st with 2:42.93; and Joey Cotton, 22nd with 2:43.19.
1600 meters: Xavier Bell of  New Town was first with a time of 4:36.28. Brayden Weyrauch of Stanley was 17th with 6:10.27 and Joey Cotton was 20th with 6:29.64.
110m hurdles: Drake Schlosser of Stanley was first with a time of 16.91; Jevon Johnson, 3rd with 20.11; Bryan Redwan, 4th with 20.37; Alex Salgado, 5th with 21.65; and Kayden Uran, 6th with 21.69.
300m hurdles: Oscar Garcia of Stanley was first with a time of 45.09; Jevon Johnson, 5th with 47.14; Kayden Uran, 6th with 47.96; Bryan Redwan, 9th with 52.35; Landon Hunting, 10th with 52.65; and Alex Salgado, 11th with 52.75.
4x100 relay: Nedrose was first with a time of 46.14. Stanley was third with 47.10 with members Kayden Uran, Drake Schlosser, Kolton Longmuir and Ethyn Jessen.
4x200 relay: Stanley was first with a time of 1:36.38 with members Kayden Uran, Drake Schlosser, Oscar Garcia and Ethyn Jessen.
4x400 relay: Stanley was first with a time of 3:45.54 with members Logan Longmuir, Oscar Garcia, Kolton Longmuir and Ethyn Jessen.
4x800 relay: New Town was first with a time of 8:46.14. Stanley was second with 8:55.51 with members Ethyn Jessen, Kolton Longmuir, Logan Neset and Logan Longmuir.
Shot put: Cade Okeson of Bishop Ryan was first with a distance of 44-11.0. Stanley’s Jack Hynek was third with 40-09.00; Michael Lee, 8th with 38-10.00; Levi Uran, 19th with 32-08.00; Hunter Warta, 29th with 31-07.00; and Jon Germundson, 31st with 30-06.00.
Discus: Peyton Helwig was first with a distance of 143-04. Stanley’s Levi Uran was 14th with 97-05; Hunter Warta and Michael Lee, tied for 25th with 82-04; Jack Hynek, 29th with 79-00; and Jon Germundson, 34th with 75-01.
Javelin: Sawyer Bloms of Nedrose was first with a distance of 140-08. Stanley’s Jack Hynek was second with 140-07; Michael Lee, 14th with 98-02; and Jon Germundson, 28th with 62-09.
High jump: Reid Morlock of MLS was first with a height of 6-04.00. Landon Hunting of Stanley was 8th with 5-02.00.
Pole vault: Logan Rist of DLB/L&C was first with a height of 12-00.00 and Cohen Bell of Stanley was second with 8-00.00.
Long jump: Ben Johnson of Divide County was first with a distance of 19-05.00. Braxton Istilart of Stanley was 14th with 16-06.00.
Junior Varsity Boys:
100 meters: Oakley Grubb of Powers Lake was first with a time of 12.40. Stanley’s Regan Gustafson was second with 12.42; Zeke Wienbar, 3rd with 12.49; Weston Peloquin, 24th with 14.48; and Fabian Vasquez, 32nd with 15.29.
