Stanley Hosts Regional Cross Country

Stanley’s Prairie Rose Golf Course was the host site for the West Region Cross Country meet on Saturday, Oct. 12 with races in both the varsity and junior varsity levels.
In the varsity boys’ race, Bowman County took home first place with a team score of 18, followed by New Town with 74 and Killdeer with 131 to take the region honors. Stanley was 14th with a team score of 444.
The top twenty individuals earn All-Region honors. Taylor Wanner of Bowman County was first with a time of 15:53.61, followed by Jonah Njos of Bowman County with 15:56.02; Gabe Sarsland of Bowman County with 16:26.17; Xavier Bell of New Town with 16:38.27; Warner Bowman of Bowman County with 16:48.52; Gryphen Leier-Wangler of Bishop Ryan with 16:53.11; Thomas Bowman of Bowman County with 17:05.05; Jeroki Dahlen of Killdeer with 17:06.36; Lukas Spotted Bear of New Town with 17:08.70; Noah Njos of Bowman County with 17:15.05; Nekori Dahlen of Killdeer with 17:29.80; Cole Buchholtz of Shiloh Christian with 17:31.74; Eli Anderson of Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke Central with 17:33.89; Tracy Aune of Richardton-Taylor with 17:40.92; Jaxon Rolle of Glen Ullin/Hebron with 17:42.02; Trevor Dalley of Hettinger-Scranton with 17:44.64; Louden Haugen of New Town with 17:48.08; Landon McKitrick of Bowman County with 17:51.02; Tekoah Hood of New Town with 17:55.39; and William Cook of Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke Central with 17:57.61 rounding out the All-Region team.
Stanley’s Logan Neset was 52nd with 19:24.58; Logan Longmuir, 53rd with 19:26.11; Kolton Longmuir, 75th with 20:28.17; and Max Jackson, 95th with 21:08.52.
New Town’s Creed Fox was 25th with 18:21.21; Kade Lambert, 37th with 18:55.27; Tracy Lyson, 56th with 19:32.14; Sean Lyson, 69th with 20:22.39; Cameron Dupree, 72nd with 20:25.42; Brycen Bell, 84th with 20:49.14; Keon Cooper, 94th with 21:07.86; Shylo Baker, 98th with 21:11.74; Wyatt Baker, 121st with 21:47.08; Andres Villafuerte, 157th with 24:20.36; and Kaiden Cooper, 164th with 25:42.92.
In the girls’ varsity race, Bowman County was first with a team score of 31, followed by Killdeer with 43 and Shiloh Christian with 178 to take region honors. New Town was  8th with 242; Stanley, 11th with 377; and Parshall, 12th with 377.
The top twenty individuals were Jordyn Honeyman of Bowman County with a time of 19:24.86; Summer Olson of Killdeer with 19:42.77; Addie Miller of Killdeer with 19:45.21; Brynn Hanson of DLB/L&C with 19:50.61; Anna Sarsland of Bowman County with 19:59.30; Abby Hardersen of Killdeer with 20:00.86; Ericka Berg of Bowman County with 20:08.74; Julie Sarsland of Bowman County with 20:19.58; Mashae Miller of Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke with 20:20.30; Aspen Brewer of Bowman County with 20:23.39; Kate Martinez of Killdeer with 20:32.02; Carley Bullinger of Dickinson Trinity with 20:34.30; Harley DeTienne of Stanley with 20:35.99; Briauna Thompson of Standing Rock with 20:45.99; Ellie Spradling of Dickinson Trinity with 20:46.74; Anna Petersen of Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke with 20:52.77; Celine Lefor of Dickinson Trinity with 20:54.52; Haydyn Chase of Parshall with 20:59.55; Emma Duffy of Shiloh Christian with 21:16.36; and Erin Conoly of Southern McLean with 21:18.35 rounding out the All-Region team.
Stanley’s Italia Rodriguez was 31st with 22:19.64 and Kaylynn Jones was 108th with 30:46.52.
New Town’s Eva Knight was 34th with 22:37.55; Tori Hale, 42nd with 23:03.52; Cedar Fitzsimmons, 45th with 23:13.08; Takola Ownspipe, 59th with 24:17.35; Inaani Wilson, 62nd with 24:25.21; Adriene Johnson, 73rd with 25:04.74; Ilse Rojas, 105th with 29:35.70; Shaya Heart, 106th with 30:00.36; and Starla McIntosh, 109th with 31:32.31.
Parshall’s Alyssa Brien was 54th with 23:44.30 and Shelbie Myers, 80th with 25:53.99.
