Golfers In Action In Tioga
Stanley’s varsity golfers had two meets on their schedule last week. They traveled to Tioga for the Williams County Meet on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The Northwest Conference Meet in New Town scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4 was postponed due to weather and has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 11.
In Tioga, DLB took home first place as a team with a score of 347, followed by Kenmare/Bowbells with 369, Williams County with 398 and Stanley rounding out the top four with 448.
Individually, Laila Christianson of DLB was first with a score of 76, followed by Ella Pearson of DLB with 85, Brooke Livingston of K/B with 85, Lauryn Christianson of DLB with 88, Ava Wallin of Williams County with 90, McKenna Mau of K/B with 90, Rylee Hedberg of K/B with 94, Ava Walen of DLB with 98, Sharon Osteroos of DLB with 99 and Emma Sandberg of K/B rounding out the top ten with 100.
Stanley’s girls finished as follows: Zaelynn Aune, 15th with 105; Mya Mortensen, 21st with 114; Jackelyne Hernandez, 22nd with 114; Brooklyn Weyrauch, 24th with 115; Kylee Collins, 29th with 131; Trinity Hynek, 31st with 137; and Alyssa Quesada, 32nd with 138.
Up Next: After playing in DLB on Tuesday, Sept. 9, the Blue Jays will travel to New Town on Thursday, Sept. 11 for the NWC. They are set to play in Crosby on Monday, Sept. 15. The region meet is set for Thursday, Sept. 18 in New Town.
