Cross Country Hosts Meet, Travels To Williston
There were two meets on the schedule for the Blue Jays’ cross country teams last week. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, they hosted their annual Labor Day Meet and then traveled to Williston on Friday, Sept. 6 for the Chamberlin Invite.
Stanley Labor Day Meet
The Blue Jays hosted their annual meet at the Prairie Rose Golf Course on Tuesday, Sept. 3 with varsity and junior varsity races on the schedule.
In the boys’ varsity race, Killdeer was first as a team with a score of 44, followed by DLB/L&C with 47, Glen Ullin/Hebron with 73, Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke Central with 100 and Trinity Christian with 132 rounding out the top five.
Individually, Jekori Dahlen of Killdeer was first with a time of 18:10.33. Stanley’s Logan Longmuir was 13th with 20:06.11; Max Jackson, 18th with 20:31.83; Logan Neset, 23rd with 20:51.92 and Kolton Longmuir, 29th with 21:18.11.
In the girls’ varsity race, Killdeer was first with a score of 26, followed by Bottineau with 47, Kenmare-Bowbells-Burke Central with 68 and Max-South Prairie with 73.
Individually, Brynn Hanson of DLB/L&C was first with a time of 20:16.30. Stanley’s Harley DeTienne was 6th with 21:33.83; Lexi Neset, 9th with 22:33.11; and Italia Rodriguez, 11th with 22:45.45. Parshall’s Alyssa Brien was 14th with 23:33.45 and Shelbie Myers was 36th with 28:36.64.
In the girls’ junior varsity race, Killdeer was first with a team score of 21, followed by Bottineau with 49 and Southern McLean with 57.
Individually, Sylvia Grenier of Bottineau was first with a time of 13:00.61 Stanley’s River DeTienne was 16th with 16:22.89; Hadley Reum, 24th with 17:11.42; and Kaylynn Jones, 40th with 20:15.42.
Chamberlin Invite
On Friday, Sept. 6, the Blue Jays traveled to Williston for the Chamberlin Invite at the Williston Golf Course. This race included both Class A and B teams from North Dakota and Montana. The meet also included varsity, junior varsity, sixth grade and middle school races.
