Cheerleaders Take Honors At State
The Stanley Blue Jay Cheer team headed to State Competition on Saturday, Nov. 12 in at West Fargo Sheyenne. Before leaving for competition, Stanley High School held a pep rally for the team on Thursday, Nov. 10. The team performed all of their competition numbers before students, staff and family members. The team was also treated to a performance by the fathers, brothers and other supporters. The team had a traditional Blue Jays send off on Friday morning, led by the Stanley Police Department and Fire Department as they headed out of town to head to competition.
“The Senior Citizens”, senior stunt group, took first place with members Autumn Pulver, Penny Wolter, Paloma Salgado, Mackenzie Ranum and Abby Wilson. “Honk Yeah, Kweenz” took second place with members Avery Ellis, Lizzie Nelson, Harmoni Christopher, Lane Jackson and Brooklyn Weyrauch.
The Cheer and Dance Routine took first place with members Valentina Anthony, Harmoni Christopher, Ashley Ellis, Avery Ellis, Laney Jackson, Hailyn Jenkins, Rylee Littlecreek, Lizzie Nelson, Autumn Pulver, Mackenzie Ranum, Paloma Salgado, Brooklyn Weyrauch, Abby Wilson and Penny Wolter.
Game Day took second place with members Valentina Anthony, Trenidi Bruhn, Harmoni Christopher, Skylee Christopher, Natalia Cox, Ashley Ellis, Avery Ellis, Kilah Hager, Sherlyn Hernandez, Marley Hoaby, Breanna Istilart, Laney Jackson, Hailyn Jenkins, Rylee Littlecreek, Danielle Martin, Ruth McLaughlin, River Nardacci, Lizzie Nelson, Kelsee Ottesen, Autumn Pulver, Mackenzie Ranum, Paloma Salgado, Kaitlyn Tronset, Brooklyn Upchurch, Brooklyn Weyrauch, Abby Wilson and Penny Wolter.
