Blue Jays Drop Home Opener To Velva

The Stanley Blue Jays hosted the Velva-DAG Aggies on Friday, Sept. 5 in their home opener.
This was a game that the Aggies controlled with the Blue Jays holding their own in the first quarter as Velva put just one touchdown on the board. They put three more touchdowns on the board in the second quarter to hold a 30 to 0 lead at the halftime break. They scored one more time each in the third and fourth quarters to finish the game with a 44-0 victory.
The Blue Jays had 75 yards of total offense, including 32 passing and 43 rushing yards. The Aggies had 360 total yards, including 134 passing and 226 rushing yards. On defense, the Blue Jays capitalized on three fumble recoveries.
