Blue Jay Girls Drop Game To TGU

Stanley’s varsity girls’ basketball team had one game on their schedule last week when they took on Towner/Granville/Upham on Monday, Dec. 30, in Minot as part of the Girls’ Hoopster Classic. TGU jumped out to a nine point lead at the end of the first quarter, extending that lead to 16 at the half on their way to the 70 to 45 win.
As a team, Stanley made 13 of their 54 two point attempts and 6 of their 20 three point attempts. They converted their one free throw attempts. For TGU, they converted 22 of their 49 two point attempts, 4 of their 14 three point attempts and 14 of their 20 free throw attempts.
The Blue Jays had 20 offensive and 20 defensive rebounds. They had 15 assists, 6 steals, 5 blocks and committed 15 turnovers. TGU had 16 offensive and 33 defensive boards. They had 12 assists, 12 steals, 1 block and committed 12 turnovers.
CeeJay Bohmbach led the team with 12 points, followed by Annie Roise with 10, Brinley Larson with 9, Taya Niemitalo with 8, Lexi Neset with 4 and Harley DeTienne with 2.
Annie Roise had 9 rebounds, followed by Taya Niemitalo with 8, Lexi Neset and Brinley Larson with 4 each, CeeJay Bohmbach with 3, and Harley DeTienne, Jacee Johnson, Teigan Moe, Payton Lystad and Tylie Johnson with 1 each.
Taya Niemitalo had 6 assists, followed by Annie Roise with 3, Jacee Johnson and CeeJay Bohmbach with 2 each, and Harley DeTienne and Teigan Moe with 1 each.
Harley DeTienne had 3 steals, followed by CeeJay Bohmbach, Jaymlin Gustafson and Brinley Larson with 1 each.
Brinley Larson had 3 blocks, followed by Lexi Neset and Annie Roise with 1 each.
