Carole Rosencrans, 83, a long-time resident of Hettinger, N.D., and beloved mother, grandmother, teacher, newspaper reporter, and musician who performed frequently at the annual North Dakota Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival, died unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm on March 5, 2023, at Evergreen Health Medical Center, in Kirkland, WA. Celebration of life services will be held this summer and will be announced later. James J. Wilhelmi passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Rosewood on Broadway, in Fargo, at the age of 88. Jim’s funeral service was held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo. Visitation was held prior to the service. (Livestreamed on the funeral home website for those who were unable to attend).
Eugene (Gene) Lautenschlager passed away peacefully March 27, 2023 surrounded by family. A funeral mass for Eugene was held on March 31, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Williston. Eugene will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Williston.
Sandra Howell, 80, of Plaza, died Monday, April 3, 2023 in a Minot hospital.
