Student Council Hosts Blood Drive
Stanley High School’s student council hosted an annual blood drive in the high school commons on Wednesday, Sept. 18 with students, staff and community members able to contribute to the cause. Partnering with Vitalant, this year’s theme was “you are somebody’s type”.
The student council had a goal to contribute 35 donations. They had 30 people donate totaling 33 units of blood donated.
The annual blood drives started a few years ago and have often included both fall and spring blood drives. Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Blood donors are always needed with the possibility of saving up to three people with donations.
