Stanley FFA Starts New Year
The school year has started, and our FFA members are ready for a busy year! The officers held a retreat in Medora, where they planned for the year ahead and engaged in team bonding. We are going to start off the school year with a golf tournament fundraiser on Saturday, August 23rd.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with a tee off at 10 a.m. at Prairie Rose Golf Course here in Stanley. We still have spots for teams. If you are interested, please contact Miss Hawbaker, Miss Bachman, or the golf course to get registered.
Our horse judging team qualified and will be competing at the national convention in October, along with several other members attending the convention. If you are interested in supporting our members heading to convention, but do not wish to golf, Bravera will be grilling burgers provided by E&E beef, along with brats and hot dogs at the golf course on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as a free will lunch.
Come out and join us for lunch or take it out to the field. Make sure to follow Stanley FFA on Facebook and Instagram for what is happening this school year. We will not be hosting a Back to School BBQ as the golf tournament will replace it. However, if you wish to check out the new addition, we will be hosting an open house with the other CTE department members and groups for the public to come and view the new facilities, along with taco in a bag, lemonade, and more on Monday, September 22.
Our raffle winners for August were drawn last week. This month’s winners are Nixie Anderson, Dena King, Kyle Nichols, Norman Westerness, and Danny Littlefield.
