Remembering Harper While Helping Others

Heidi and Brooks Stafslien lost their daughter, Harper, in April of 2024. From the grief came something beautiful. It began at her funeral as friends and family donated stuffed animals to “Be Happy Like Harper”. Those stuffed animals were donated around the country to hospitals.
Last year in honor of her birthday, Stanley held their first annual Stuffed Animal Drive to continue those donations. Almost 1,000 stuffed animals were distributed last year.
Last week, the second annual Stuffed Animal Drive returned from February 2 through 6. Stuffed animals were collected at both the elementary and high schools, as well as at several participating businesses.
The collection continued on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the boys’ basketball game when Stanley hosted Powers Lake. The animals collected will be given to children who have hospital stays, ER visits and other crises.
You can visit Harper’s Hugs on Facebook to follow along with the donations of these special stuffed animals and “Be Happy Like Harper!”
