Mountrail County 4-H Awards Day Held

The Mountrail County 4-H Awards Day was held Sunday, November 9 at the Mountrail County South Complex in Stanley.
4-H youth/adult members, parents and leaders gathered for the awards program in which a number of members were presented their participation year pins, Achievement Day awards, Horse Show awards, Year-End awards, Project Pins, and “Git R Dun” Awards. These awards were in recognition for the youth/leader participation and achievements in 4-H during the recently ended 2024-2025 4-H year.
Special honors were received by:
Mountrail County Friend of 4-H - Steve and Karen Babbitt
Steve and Karen may not be out in the spotlight but behind the scenes they do a lot for 4-H! Steve is the main volunteer that makes the Mountrail County 4-H Archery program successful. He helps lead the county and district winter archery season, fixes the equipment, and takes the time to hands on teach each youth participant and build their confidence. Steve and Karen keep things running smoothly for the Buyers Supper by seasoning/preparing, cooking and serving the meal. Karen is the main person behind the cameras at Achievement Days getting pictures of the static exhibitors and judges. They both are always willing to lend a helping hand where needed and are usually one of the last families that leave an event to help ensure everything is covered.
