Mobile Food Pantry To Make Stops In Area

Mobile Food Pantry To Make Stops In Area

Trucks supplying food will be making stops in the area on Tuesday, July 16 as part of the Great Plains Food Bank Program. Anyone in need of food assistance from any community is welcome to attend these drive through distributions.
The Mobile Food Pantry provides fresh vegetables, fruits, shelf-stable items, meat, bakery items, boxed goods and much more to communities in need. Items are distributed right off the truck by staff and volunteers and delivered directly to people in need.
Clients will remain in their vehicle and complete a short intake form onsite and then drive through the distribution line. Those who cannot attend may designate someone to pick up for them.
There will be three stops, including one in Stanley at the Mountrail County South Complex located at 8103 61st St. NW from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. A stop is set for Wildrose at the Fire Hall at 416 Main St. from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. There will also be a stop in Lignite at the Community Center at 210 Main St. from 3:00 p.m. until the supply is gone.
Established in 2008, the Mobile Food Pantry and Pop-up Perishable Food Program are two programs of the Great Plains Food Bank bringing food and produce into rural communities struggling with access to food assistance.
