Minot State Women’s Wrestling Begins Building Next Class With Signing Of Kerrington Lee
The Minot State women’s wrestling team made history just this past weekend competing in its first matches, and fresh off their inaugural tournament head coach Brittney Mitchem is working on her second recruiting class.
Mitchem is pleased to introduce the first member of the next Beaver wrestling recruiting class, Kerrington Lee from Stanley High School in Stanley, North Dakota, who signed a National Letter-of-Intent last Wednesday and will join Minot State as a freshman on the mats and in the classroom next fall.
“I chose Minot State because of the facilities and the coaches,” Lee said.
The senior at Stanley HS racked up a team-high 69 points for the girls wrestling team, which included scoring 15 takedowns last season, and she added 8 team points for the boys team last year.
On the mats for this season, she was named Elite 8 honorable mention by Dakota Grappler, and previously earned all-region honors and finished fourth at the state championships.
