Meats Classes Conclude At South Complex

The last of seven classes was held at the Mountrail County South Complex on Wednesday, Apr. 1 as Mountrail County Ag Agent Jim Hennessy was offering his meat classes to the public. These classes are some of the most popular in the area and bring both new and returning participants each year. Wednesday’s class was a brats and polish sausage class.
The hands-on classes teach the basics of meat handling and preparation from field to table. Participants learn the advantages of using different types of meats, seasonings, casings, add-ins and more. Each class focuses on different meats, but the premise is the same, as they focus on both safety and great ways to make these products at home.
Participants in all classes get to sample products throughout the evening. They also get to take home what they make over the course of the night.
