Livestock Rangeland Meeting Held

The Mountrail County Ag Agency, along with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Mountrail Soil Conservation District hosted a livestock rangeland meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the Mountrail County South Complex. The event was designed for the expert speakers to share innovative strategies for enhancing grazing practices. It also provided valuable insights for anyone passionate about the future of our rangelands.
The day included Kevin Sedivec, professor and specialist in rangeland management at NDSU, as the first speaker. His topics included regenerative grazing to enhance livestock production and mature plant specials. He also spoke on whether virtual fencing is the future of grazing management.
Dillon Fogart, assistant professor of Rangeland Ecology at NDSU, tackled the topic of reducing juniper encroachment in North Dakota rangelands.
