Honor Society Project Helps Students Dress For Success

Caleb Mortensen, a National Honor Society member, recently completed his service project with great success. For his project, Caleb focused on helping students in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) by providing access to proper business attire. He organized a gift card drive to help new FBLA members purchase professional clothing, ensuring they could feel confident at conferences and events.
Understanding that many students entering the organization may not have the resources to purchase business attire, Caleb aimed to remove that barrier. His project focused on collecting gift cards to stores that provide professional clothing options, ensuring that all students could feel confident and prepared for FBLA events and competitions.
“I knew that some kids didn’t have the right business attire to attend and compete in the conference,” Caleb said. “I wanted to help with that.”
Through Caleb’s hard work and determination, the gift card drive gathered a generous response from the community. Students can now access these gift cards to purchase items such as dress shirts, blazers, slacks, and other professional attire. His thoughtful initiative demonstrates not only his leadership within the Honor Society, but also his commitment to supporting his peers.
The success of Caleb’s project reflects the spirit of the FBLA and the National Honor Society - empowering students to grow as professionals and helping them put their best foot forward.
