Honor Society Project Builds Free Little Library For Community

Honor Society Project Builds Free Little Library For Community

Local senior Logan Neset has taken a creative and impactful approach to his National Honor Society service project by constructing a Free Little Library. This small, book-sharing box will be installed in the public park near the county courthouse this spring, offering free access to books for readers of all ages.
The concept behind the Free Little Library is simple but powerful, people can borrow books at their convenience and return them or replace them with others, ensuring a continuous cycle of shared reading material. Logan designed and built the structure himself, demonstrating both craftsmanship and a commitment to literacy within the community.
“I wanted to do something that would make a lasting difference,” Logan said. “Books should be accessible to everyone, and I hope this encourages people to read more.”
The Free Little Library will serve as a valuable resource for residents, promoting literacy and a love of reading while fostering a sense of sharing and community engagement. This project mirrors the existing Free Little Library at the city park, further expanding access to books throughout the community.
Logan’s initiative not only fulfills his service requirement for the National Honor Society but also leaves a meaningful legacy for future generations. As the installation date approaches, local residents are encouraged to gather books they’d like to contribute and prepare to take part in this inspiring endeavor.
