Hemstad To Host Book Launch

Leif Hemstad will start his book launch in Stanley on Friday, Jan. 30.
Come celebrate how the wisdom of a North Dakota wheat farmer stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the insights of the world’s most celebrated business thinkers.
On Friday, Jan. 30, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sibyl Center, Leif Hemstad, son of Nancy and the late Curt Hemstad, will launch his new book entitled “The Leadership Harvest”, a farmers wisdom for cultivating leadership, purpose and life.
The book highlights how rural North Dakota taught him resilience, courage, caring and the power of community. Those lessons carried him from wheat fields to leading global teams across Microsoft through growth, disruption and transformation.
What he learned? His dad’s wisdom, rooted in purpose, gratitude, belief, storytelling, and human connection, has been the most beneficial lesson.
Join him and the Sibyl Center in a celebration of our community and the people who are or have been a part of it. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
Social begins at 7:00 p.m. with program and discussion from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.
Hemstad is also scheduled to meet with student leadership organizations and classes at the Stanley High School on Friday morning.
