Harper’s Hallway Project Brings Tears And Tribute

This past week, the unveiling of Harper’s Hallway brought tears and heartfelt emotions to the Stanley community. The mural, a beautiful tribute to Harper Stafslien, is filled with meaningful details that celebrate the things she loved and cherished in life.
The project was made possible thanks to the Stanley Student Council, which worked tirelessly to raise funds for artist Bre Ware to turn this dream into a reality. Heidi Stafslien, Harper’s mother, expressed her deep gratitude.
“Several months ago, we were asked if it would be okay for the community, staff, and friends to have a mural painted in honor of Harper,” Heidi said. “The Student Council got involved and fundraised for the project, and we were beyond words. We couldn’t believe the love we received.”
Heidi shared how she compiled a list of Harper’s favorite things, which Bre used as inspiration for the mural. “Bre added surprises and special touches I hadn’t even thought of. Each of us also got to add a heart to the mural, giving our love to her. It’s truly magical. Thank you so much, Bre - you’re amazing! And thank you to our incredible community, kindergarten teachers, school staff, friends, and family for making this happen.”
The project honors the memory of Harper Stafslien, whose bright spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. The hallway now serves as a permanent reminder of her joy and the love she shared with the world.
