Getting Closer To Completion
Work on the new home for The Pursuit church has been continuing throughout the winter. A groundbreaking for the new campus was held in August. They have purchased the former Cashwise building and are in the process of renovations that will make the space a permanent home for the Stanley congregation that currently has been meeting in the Stanley Elementary School since 2018. The new building is planned to be used as a daycare during the week as well as the church building.
Work on the demolition of the old building began last summer and the building was enclosed. They are using the winter to work on the interior. The original schedule was aggressive and called for the church to open at the end of March or early April. As work continues, the schedule now calls for possible competition at the end of April.
A tour through the building will show that work has continued at a good pace throughout the fall and winter months. The north side of the building will house the children’s classroom areas as well as the daycare. That area is getting closer to completion with sheetrock and more completed. Work still continues in the sanctuary area, as well as the gathering space between the sanctuary and the classroom areas. Work is still also underway on the new kitchen area.
Once completed, The Pursuit will move to their new home. They will also hold an open house later to allow the public to tour the new building.
