Fueled By Fire: The Grinstead Brothers Need For Speed

The roar of the engines wasn’t the only thing making noise at North Dakota’s racetracks this season, the Grinstead brothers, Tyson and Brennor, just etched their names into racing history once again.
In what can only be described as a season for the record books, Tyson Grinstead powered his way to a stunning victory at the iconic Motor Magic event, one of the region’s most prestigious races. Known for its intense competition and die-hard racing culture, Motor Magic attracts the best, and Tyson delivered, crossing the finish line in dramatic fashion to take the Championship win.
But the Grinstead family’s celebrations didn’t stop there.
Younger brother Brennor Grinstead, in his very first year behind the wheel of an IMCA stock car, clinched the North Dakota State Championship, an almost unheard-of feat for a rookie. Competing against seasoned veterans, Brennor’s fearless driving and calm under pressure earned him the top spot in the standings and the respect of fans and fellow racers alike.
“It’s been a dream season,” Tyson said, beaming after his Motor Magic win. “But seeing Brennor win the state championship in his rookie year, that’s next-level. I couldn’t be prouder.”
The brothers, hailing from a family deeply rooted in motorsports, have become local legends seemingly overnight. Their shared success has sparked excitement in the racing community, with many calling the 2025 season a turning point for the next generation of North Dakota drivers.
Racing fans are already buzzing about what’s next for the Grinstead duo, with both drivers expected to return stronger and faster for next season. Whether they’re tearing up the dirt or standing atop the podium, one thing’s clear: the Grinstead name is now synonymous with speed, skill, and sibling success.
