Fall Gather Comes To Stanley
The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame District 1 and 2 Trustees held the NDCHF Fall Gather at the Mountrail County South Complex Stanley on Saturday, Nov. 12. The first annual event was held last year in Killdeer and brought approximately 200 people together to celebrate the evening. The winter weather may have kept some from coming to enjoy the evening, but those that did had a great time.
The evening started with a social hour at 5:00 p.m., followed by a supper with John Woodbury’s “now-famous brisket, pulled pork, and delicious dutch oven desserts”. The Western Wranglers helped serve during the meal as well.
Fifteen teams were sold at a NFR Calcutta and there were other items donated to be sold at auction. The evening wrapped up with Lonesome Willie taking to the stage for some dancing music.
There was also a history/trivia challenge to test the knowledge of those attending about the Hall of Fame, the history of the western way of life, the history of life around Mountrail County.
