Crazy Days Returns This Thursday
Stanley Summer Fest/Crazy Days returns to Stanley this Thursday, Aug. 4, with something for everyone planned this year. Many of the events that are returning were a huge success at last year’s event.
This will start at 11 a.m. with a free lunch sponsored by Bravera Bank and The Title Team. They will serve on the south side of the bank from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The afternoon will be busy with 1st Avenue SE closed to traffic between Bravera Bank and Prairie Home Furnishings. This will allow the Commercial Club to set up inflatables, the cash cube and dunk tank. There will also be food vendors not only in the downtown area, but also at the Elementary School. The cash cube will feature coupons and more from businesses.
Businesses are also being asked to set up registration boxes for people to enter. At the end of the day, those will be collected, and drawings held for prizes for adults and kids.
There will also be a vendor show down town with vendors set up from noon to 4 p.m.
BNC National Bank will be hosting a Chalk Art Contest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
From 1 to 7 p.m. there will be go-carts from B&B Racers in the elementary school parking lot. There will also be a water balloon fight at 1:00 p.m. at the elementary school hosted by The Pursuit. Weather permitting, the Lund Family will be offering horse and buggy rides from 1 to 4 p.m.
