Cheerleaders Earn Honors At State Comp
The Stanley Blue Jay Cheer team competed in the fall State Competition on Saturday, Nov. 23 in Bismarck at Legacy High School. Before leaving, the team held a showcase on Thursday for supporters to watch them perform their competition routines. The team got a traditional Blue Jay send off on Friday, led by the police department and fire department as they headed off to Bismarck.
The Timeout routine took second place with members Laylah Wilson, Kassi Meinen, Italia Rodriguez, Natalia Cox, Ziva Ottesen, Lacie Meyer, Amelia Jackson, Laura Rivera, Harlee Goertz, Breanna Istilart, River Nardacci, Rylee Littlecreek, Lizzie Nelson, Laney Jackson, Ashley Ellis and Avery Ellis.
The Cheer and Dance Routine took first place with members Italia Rodriguez, Natalia Cox, Ziva Ottesen, Lacie Meyer, Amelia Jackson, Laura Rivera, Harlee Goertz, Breanna Istilart, River Nardacci, Rylee Littlecreek, Lizzie Nelson, Laney Jackson, Ashley Ellis and Avery Ellis.
In Jump Off Laney Jackson took first place and Lizzie Nelson took third place.
Two groups participated in the Stunt group routine division. Life in the Cheerhouse including Harlee Goertz, Lizzie Nelson, Laney Jackson, Ashley Ellis and Avery Ellis took first place.
Da Bomb stunt group included Lacie Meyer, Amelia Jackson, River Nardacci, Rylee Littlecreek and Breanna Istilart.
Ashley Ellis and Avery Ellis participated in the Top Sideline cheerleader division.
The Cheer team is grateful for the police department/SRO Brianna Dazell and the fire department/firemen Drew Rodgers and Jamie Germundson for the escort out of town and for those that lined the streets to wish us well! They would also like to thank all their supporters including parents, families, friends, the school and administration, the Blue Jay Boosters for their continued support of our team.
