CCA Welcomes Sixty To Back-To-School Night
Christian Crossroads Academy welcomed approximately sixty students, parents, educators, and guests last Wednesday evening for its Back-to-School Night and Ice Cream Social, giving families an opportunity to tour the school, meet educators, visit classrooms, and learn more about the Academy’s classical Christian approach to education.
The August 12 event brought the CCA community together as the school prepares for the beginning of the academic year. Students explored their classrooms and met their teachers, while parents learned more about the school’s curriculum, educational philosophy, and commitment to integrating academic excellence with Christian faith and character development.
A special highlight of the evening was a visit from U.S. Senator John Hoeven of North Dakota, who addressed parents, students, educators, and guests.
Hoeven reflected on his own educational experience attending private Catholic schools and spoke about the important role that faith-based education can play in developing young people academically, personally, and spiritually.
In his remarks to students, Hoeven encouraged them to believe in themselves, believe in God, work hard, and recognize the opportunities ahead of them, telling students that with faith and determination, they can go far in life.
CCA representatives also introduced families to the classical Christian model of education, which emphasizes the development of knowledge, reasoning, communication, character, and a Christian worldview. The Academy seeks not simply to prepare students academically, but to develop young men and women who are equipped to think carefully, communicate effectively, serve others, and live lives grounded in Christian faith.
The evening included an ice cream social, classroom tours, opportunities for families to meet one another, distribution of CCA shirts, and information about upcoming school activities.
The strong turnout provided an encouraging beginning for the Academy as students, parents, educators, supporters, and community leaders gathered around a shared vision for Christian education in northwest North Dakota.
