Apply For MWEC Impact Grants

Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative is expanding their charitable giving program with a new grant focused on supporting new infrastructure and capital enhancement projects in Mountrail and Williams Counties.
Grant awards will be given to organizations that improve the quality of life of MWEC members and positively impact the economic development of their communities. Up to $25,000 in grant funds may be requested per project.
“MWEC continues our commitment to the growth and well-being of the communities we serve,” said Bob Grant, MWEC Board of Directors chair. “The impact grant is an extension of this commitment and holds true to our cooperative principle of concern for community.
Grant focus areas include:
Quality of Life: Infrastructure projects that improve the quality of life in Mountrail and Williams counties and foster economic growth. Projects may include, but are not limited to, recreational facilities, arts, healthcare, community centers, daycares, etc.
Education: Focus on facilities that support local educational efforts. Projects may include, but are not limited to, educational facilities.
Non-profit Organizations: Focus on facilities that support safety, civic and community betterment, health and human services, culture, and the arts. (Note: For-profit organizations do not qualify for these grant funds.)
Other: Projects that positively impact the communities in or surrounding MWEC’s service area may be considered.
Electric cooperatives excel at finding innovative ways to meet the needs of their members and power their communities. The Impact Grant demonstrates the cooperative spirit in action.
