Ag Improvement Banquet Set For November 5

The Mountrail County Ag Improvement Association will hold the annual Ag Appreciation Banquet on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Mountrail County South Complex in Stanley. The association held their first appreciation banquet in November of 2019. The evening is about having a good time and celebrating agriculture.
This year’s featured speaker is Rob Sharkey, better known as The SharkFarmer. He is an Illinois grain farmer, whitetail deer outfitter, and respected media personality.
He hosts a top-rated podcast, a syndicated radio show and television programs on RFD-TV and PBS. With nearly a million weekly listeners, Rob is recognized for tackling tough agricultural topics with honesty, humor and heart, making him a standout voice in modern farming. He knows that risk is an essential ingredient to the recipe for success, and he is not afraid of failure. The Shark continues to swim forward, sharing his story with whoever is listening.
Ty Taylor and Jerilyn Wiseman will be providing live music.
This year’s Ag Appreciation Banquet will start with a social at 5:00 p.m., followed by a meal at 6:00 p.m. The Mountrail County Ag Improvement Association’s Distinguished Service Award and the Soil Conservation District’s Achievement Award will be announced during the meal. Sharkey will speak at 7:00 p.m.
