32nd Annual Parade Of Lights In New Town

The 32nd annual Parade of Lights in New Town will be held on December 6, 2025.
Vendors for the Cultural Craft Fair at the Northern Lights in New Town from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. include: Christmas Cookie Station with Mimi Sweets N Treats sponsored by United Quality Coop., Face painting sponsored by Mountrail Williams Electric, Christmas Playdoh Station sponsored by Wheels Turning 360 Snow Removal, all from 10:00 until 3:00 p.m., Christmas Family Photos from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., and Santa Claus visits with photos sponsored by RTC Networks from 12  until 3 p.m. 
The Annual Parade of Lights on Main Street starts at 6 p.m., followed by Christmas Carols performed by the New Town High School Choir at the City Christmas tree immediately after the parade. After the performance, there will be the announcement of prizes for the Parade of Lights.
Annual Walk-A-Bout 
The Annual Walk-A-Bout from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. will include hot cocoa, coffee and cookies served at Reynolds Insurance Agency; Knoephla soup (with a gluten free Knoephla soup option), will be served at the New Town City Library; S’mores at the outdoor fire will be hosted by Great Plains Indian Trading Post; an assortment of soups will be served by MHA Tourism; hot cocoa and cookies will be served by the NHS College, near MHA Tourism; and New Town Jack & Jill will also serve cocoa, coffee and cookies.
Vendor registration for the Christmas Cultural Fair ends on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. To be a vendor at the craft show, text 216-804-4262.
Parade of Lights prizes include: (all prizes are in New Town Bucks) People’s Choice: Trophy and $1,500.00; Community 1st Place: $1,000.00; Community 2nd Place: $750.00; Community 3rd Place: $500.00; Commercial 1st Place: $1,000.00; Commercial 2nd Place: $750.00; and Commercial 3rd Place: $500.00.
To pre-register your float, call the city office at 701-627-4812. Sign in and parade line up will be on the south side of the General Store by 5:15 p.m.
In addition to the Christmas Season, the New Town Chamber is hosting for the first time, a “Christmas Tree Contest.” The purpose is to bring holiday cheer to the community, beautify the town during the Christmas season, and encourage friendly competition among local businesses.
Participation is open to all New Town Chamber business members.
Businesses must have registered by December 2nd, 2025, using the official entry form.
Trees must be fully decorated and on display by December 5th, 2025 by 5 p.m.
Trees must remain on display until December 25th, 2025.
