2026 Emerging Industries Conference To Address Major Changes Coming To North Dakota

Major and diverse industries are moving into North Dakota at a rapid pace, bringing significant changes to land use, infrastructure, and communities across the state. In response, the Northwest Landowners Association (NWLA) will host the 2026 Emerging Industries Conference on February 2-3, 2026, in Bismarck, North Dakota.
The educational conference will take place in the Bavendick Stateroom at the BSC National Energy Center of Excellence, located at 1200 Schafer Street. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on February 2.
This two-day event is designed to help landowners, local and state officials, and members of the public better understand emerging industries impacting North Dakota, ask informed questions and engage directly with knowledgeable speakers.
Conference topics will include:
• Critical minerals and rare earth elements
• Energy needs, production, and transmission
• New developments like data centers and cryptomining
• Pore space development
• Legal considerations and presentations
• Lithium extraction/mining
• Carbon dioxide (CO2) projects
