Harvest Festival Held In Stanley
The Stanley Farmer’s Market and Mountrail County Garden Club hosted their annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21 in Wilson Park.
The annual event offered something for everyone. Farmers market participants had fresh produce, homemade treats, and merchandise. They were joined by other vendors selling everything homegrown and homemade.
In addition to the traditional farmers market items and other vendors, there were plenty of activities for the family. BNC Bank hosted their annual free lunch. Stanley’s FCCLA was selling cold brew coffee drinks and they had Blue Jay gear for sale as well.
Ty Taylor and Jerilyn Wiseman provided live entertainment for those attending. There were kids’ games including finding the “eyeball” in the haystack, a treasure hunt on the volleyball court, gunny sack and three-legged races, and dodgeball.
The Lund family had planned to offer horse drawn wagon rides, but a health issue with one of the horses caused them to cancel.
This was the final event for the Stanley Farmer’s Market this season. The Mountrail County Garden Club is the host for the markets. The market had a new Facebook page this year and you can follow that at Stanley, N.D. Farmer’s Market next year as they get ready for the new season.
